Edmonton) - The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club announces the signing of national offensive lineman Tyson Pencer and national kicker/punter Zackary Medeiros.

Tyson Pencer

Offensive Lineman (national)

College: Washington State

Born: Feb. 10, 1989 - North Delta, BC

Height: 6.06

Weight: 315

Pencer was originally selected by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the first round (third overall) of 2012 CFL Canadian Draft.

Zackary Medeiros

Kicker/Punter (national)

College: Western Ontario

Born: Oct. 22, 1990- St. Thomas, ON

Height: 5.11

Weight: 205

In two seasons with the London Beefeaters (2012-13) of the Ontario Football Conference, Medeiros made 33-of-49 field goals and recorded 126 punts for 4,830 yards.

Medeiros was drafted by Edmonton in the sixth round (48th overall) of the 2014 CFL Canadian Draft and returned to school following training camp. In the 2014 season, at Western, Medeiros made 24-of-33 field goals. He also punted 57 times for 2,183 yards.

The Eskimos also announce the release of offensive lineman Chris Mercer who was selected in the third round (26th overall) in the 2013 CFL Canadian Draft and spent the last two seasons on the Eskimo practice roster.
