Rewind:
Friday, Monsters 3 vs. Bruins 2, shootout
Jeff Campbell and Blue Bennefield both scored in regulation, and Campbell was the only scorer in 14 shootout attempts as the Lock Monsters defeated Providence 3-2 on Friday. Tyler Weiman stopped 28 of 30 shots in regulation and overtime, and turned aside all seven shots he faced in the deciding shootout.

Saturday, Falcons 3 vs. Monsters 0
Morgan Cey turned aside 37 Lowell shots for his first career AHL shutout, a 3-0 victory for visiting Springfield. Norm Milley, Doug Andress and Girard Dicaire all scored for Springfield and Lowell finished their season series with the Falcons 3-5-1-1.

Where we stand
The Monsters are currently in fifth place in the Atlantic Division and trail the Providence Bruins by 12 points with eight games to play. Overall, Lowell is 27-33-5-7 on the season, with 66 points.

Monsters Memos
- Jeff Campbell and Blue Bennefield both scored their first career AHL goals on Friday night. They have made their AHL debuts this season with Lowell.
- Tyler Weiman improved to 13-for-15 in shootouts, for an..867 save percentage. He is 1-1 in shootouts this season.
- Keith Aucoin notched an assist on Friday to tie single season records for assists (51) and points (77) in Lock Monsters history. Both marks were previously owned by Eric Staal (2004-05). Aucoin's efforts to eclipse the records were put on hold when he was recalled by the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday.
- Lowell presented two more players with their AHL debuts last weekend. Defensemen Rob LaLonde (Merrimack) and Brian Mullally (Norwich) both completed their senior seasons in college recently and skated in a game this weekend.
- Steve Crampton, who played seven games with Norfolk earlier this season and has since been with Las Vegas (ECHL), also played this weekend for the Lock Monsters. They have now used a league-high 57 players.

Coming Up:
Lowell heads to the road for four straight starting this weekend. They visit the Hershey Bears on Friday and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Saturday night. Both games start at 7:00 p.m. and can be heard live on 980 WCAP, and viewed through B2 Networks, the official broadband provider of the AHL, with the "Voice of the Lock Monsters" Ryan Johnston.
