If fans walking into Quicken Loans Arena on Saturday have a "˜90's flashback, it will be understandable: The Lake Erie Monsters are taking it back to 1992 this Saturday, December 22nd, when they host "Cleveland Lumberjacks Night."

The Lumberjacks competed in Cleveland as part of the International Hockey League in 1992 through 2001. The Monsters will be honoring the 20th Anniversary of this era of Cleveland's rich hockey heritage by wearing throwback Lumberjacks jerseys at Saturday's game against the Houston Aeros.

Monsters fans will have the chance to take home the game-worn jersey of their favorite players on Saturday, via an in-game silent auction, a live postgame auction and an auction held online at LakeErieMonsters.com, with proceeds benefitting the Monsters Community Fund.

Several Lumberjacks alum will be honored at the game, including Perry Gancher, Dave Michylak, Chris Longo and current Monsters assistant coach Jock Callander. There will also be a special meet-and-greet with Lumberjacks legends prior to the game. Fans are able to attend with a $10 donation to the Jeff Christian Family*.

Fans will be able to take a trip down memory lane by visiting various pieces of Lumberjacks memorabilia throughout the concourse. Plus, the "˜Jacks' beloved mascot Buzz will also be in the house for the game.

To top off this hockey-filled night, the first 5,000 fans to the game will also receive a free Monsters Goalie Oven Mitt.

*Jeff Christian Family Donation: Through the Monsters Community Fund, money raised through the pregame meet-and-greet will go to former Lumberjack Jeff Christian and his family for the care of his 10-year old daughter, Ryan, who is currently battling a rare form of pediatric cancer.
