Monday's Game Rained Out, All-Star Game Wednesday

Monday's game between the Springfield Cardinals and the Tulsa Drillers has been postponed due to early Monday morning rain in Tulsa. The game will be made up as part of a double-header the next time the Cardinals visit Drillers Stadium in July.

It's what we've been waiting for all season long...the 2008 Texas League All-Star Game presented by Great Southern is this upcoming Wednesday, June 25th at Hammons Field.

Gates for Wednesday's festivities open at 5:10pm. Be sure and arrive at the ballpark early and witness the Bass Pro Shops Home Run Derby. Four sluggers from the North Division and four from the South Division will square off in an attempt to be crowned the top home run hitter in the Texas League. The Bass Pro Shops Home Run Derby is set to begin at 5:30pm, so come out, sit on the berm and root on your favorite Springfield Cardinal or Texas League Slugger. You may also have a chance to catch a home run ball or win great prizes thanks to Bass Pro!

At 7:10pm, the 72nd edition of the Texas League All-Star Game presented by Great Southern will kick off. A total of seven Springfield Cardinals are set to play in the Texas League's mid-summer classic.
