Monarchs Sign Draft Pick

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have signed center Jordan Nolan to an amateur tryout agreement, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.

Nolan, 20, recently finished his season with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League. He appeared in 49 games with Sault Ste. Marie this season, recording 48 points (23-2548) and 88 penalty minutes. He also tallied 11power play goals and one shorthanded goal with the Greyhounds. Selected by the Kings in the seventh-round (186th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, the 6-foot-3, 215-pound native of St. Catherines, Ontario played in three games with the Ontario Reign, the ECHL affiliate of the Monarchs, tallying two points (1-12) and four penalty minutes. Nolan will wear No. 39 for the Monarchs.

The Monarchs host the Portland Pirates at the Verizon Wireless Arena in their final regular season home game on Friday, April 9 at 7:30 p.m. The first 2,000 fans will receive a full color team photo, courtesy of WGAM.
