
Monarchs Rosters Set Skills '08

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, divided up the team into two squads, Team Kretchy and Team Staton for the second annual intra-squad Skills '08 competition at Sullivan Arena at Saint Anselm College on Sunday, February 10 from 2:00-5:00 p.m.
Monarchs Coach Mark Morris and his honorary coach Rock 101's Greg Kretschmar sat down with Assistant Coach Scott Pellerin and his Skills '08 honorary coach WMUR's Sports Director Jamie Staton to draft the Monarchs squad into two competitive teams that will duke it out on the ice in the Skills '08.

The competition will be modeled after the AHL's annual All-Star Competition with seven events: Puck Control Relay, Rapid Fire, Accuracy Shooting, Breakaway Relay, Fastest Skater, Hardest Shot and Pass & Score.
Following the event on February 10, the specialty jerseys worn by the players will be auctioned off through both a silent and live auction. The Monarchs players will also come up on the concourse to sign autographs post-competition.
There are only 1,200 tickets available for the event and are on sale now. Advance tickets are $8 for reserved seating and $7 for general admission and can be purchased at the Monarchs Pro Shop and Sullivan Arena. At the door on the day of the competition, tickets are $10 for reserved seating and $9 for general admission.
