MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have released center Paul Crowder from his professional tryout agreement, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.

Crowder, 26, recorded zero points in five games with the Monarchs since being signed on Friday, February 10. The Victoria, British Columbia native has 34 points (12-2234) and 28 penalty minutes in 37 games for the ECHL's Wheeling Nailers this season. Crowder started the 2010-11 season with the ECHL's Utah Grizzlies registering five goals and eight assists for 13 points in 20 games before being traded to Wheeling on March 1, 2011. Crowder finished the 2010-11 season with the Nailers compiling 11 points (3-811) and 12 penalty minutes in 16 contests. The 6-foot-3, 202 pound center played in 90 American Hockey League games with the Hartford Wolf Pack spanning two seasons (2008-10) and recorded 12 goals and 17 assists for 29 points and 32 penalty minutes.
