Heat Announce Schedule Changes

Abbotsford Heat News Release


Abbotsford, BC - The Abbotsford Heat announced a pair of schedule changes today. The first is a time change for the game at the AESC on March 6th as the Heat host the Houston Aeros. The puck will now drop for the opening faceoff at 10:30AM Pacific. The second is for the Heat game previously scheduled for Friday, April 6th at 4:00PM Pacific versus the Charlotte Checkers. It has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 7th at 9:00AM Pacific.

The AHL's Charlotte Checkers and the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats co-announced that the two teams will play a double-header on Saturday, April 7th, with the Checkers hosting the Heat and the Bobcats hosting the Atlanta Hawks later that night. The move is to accommodate the rescheduling of the January 25th Red Hot Chili Peppers concert.

The Heat and Abbotsford School District 34 have been working together on the School Day Game scheduled for March 6th, and in an effort to accommodate as many middle-school children as possible the original start time of 11:00AM was pushed back to 10:30AM allowing for the children's timely return to their respective schools.
