Ducks Return Guenin and Recall Cumiskey

Syracuse, NY (Feb. 20, 2012) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Anaheim Ducks have returned defenseman Nate Guenin and have recalled defenseman Kyle Cumiskey.

Guenin, 29, has appeared in 10 contests with Anaheim this season recording one goal and six penalty minutes. The Crunch captain has played in 23 games for the Crunch this season totaling four points, all assists, and 14 penalty minutes. Guenin was originally drafted by the New York Rangers in the fourth round, 127th overall, of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. Anaheim acquired Guenin from the Columbus Blue Jackets on Jan. 4, 2011 in exchange for Trevor Smith.

Cumiskey, 25, has played in 36 contests with the Crunch this season, scoring 16 points (2g, 14a). Cumiskey has appeared in 132 career NHL games with Avalanche, recording 35 points (9g, 26a). Cumiskey was seventh round, 222nd overall, selection for the Colorado Avalanche in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. The Ducks acquired Cumiskey in exchange for defenseman Jake Newton on Oct. 8, 2011.

The Crunch return home from a four-game road trip to take on the Worcester Sharks Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. at the War Memorial. Tickets for Tuesday's game are buy one get one courtesy of Time Warner Cable.
