Ontario Reign News Release

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, four-time Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's 2014 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings and Winnipeg Jets, have received forward Vincent Arseneau from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League.

Arseneau, 22, has not appeared in a game with the Monarchs this season due to injury. He is expected to be in the lineup wearing number 5 for Ontario tonight when the Reign take on the Idaho Steelheads at CenturyLink Arena at 6:10 p.m.

Arseneau split last year between the AHL's Lake Erie Monsters (13 games) and the Central Hockey League's Denver Cutthroats (47 games). The 6-foot-2, 200-pound forward recorded 37 points (24g-13a) and 120 penalty minutes with Denver, and added 60 penalty minutes for Lake Erie. The Monarchs signed the native of Iles-de-la-Madeleine, Quebec to an AHL contract on August 4.

Arseneau made his professional debut at the end of the 2012-13 season with Lake Erie, appearing in 11 games and recording one assist and 35 penalty minutes.

Prior to turning pro, Arseneau played in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League from 2008-13 with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan and Shawinigan Cataractes, recording 108 points (52g-56a) and 632 penalty minutes in 294 games, highlighted by a Memorial Cup Championship with Shawinigan in 2011-12.
