
IceMen Acquire Prab Rai from Stockton

EVANSVILLE, Ind.-The Evansville IceMen, presented by Coors Light, made a trade with the Stockton Thunder to acquire Forward, Prab Rai in exchange for future considerations. The IceMen also returned Ben Warda to Peoria .
In four games with Stockton this year, Rai scored a goal and had an assist. The Surrey, BC native played two seasons with the Kalamazoo Wings from 2011-2013. He posted a career best six points in 24 games during the 2011-12 season.
Before he played in the ECHL, Rai posted three consecutive 60 plus point seasons with the Seattle Thunderbirds of the WHL. He scored 41 goals for Seattle in the 2009-10 season.
Rai was drafted in the 5th round (131st) overall by the Vancouver Canucks. He will celebrate his 25th birthday on Nov.22.
"He's a dynamic skater with an ability to score," IceMen Head Coach Dwight Mullins said. "He adds size and speed to our lineup."
Rai will travel with the IceMen on their upcoming two game road trip, beginning Friday Nov.21 at Cincinnati, and continuing Nov.22 at Toledo. The IceMen will complete their first three games in three nights stretch when the return home to face the Greenville Road Warriors on Sunday Nov.23.
Sunday's game will also be Paws N' Pucks Night at the Ford Center. It Takes a Village will be at the game with pets that fans can adopt right on the spot. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will also receive a free water bowl courtesy of Henderson Chevrolet.
