Monarchs Promote From Within; Add Front Office Staffers

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the AHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have promoted Joe Domingos to Senior Vice President and Jon Crabbe to Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Monarchs President Jeff Eisenberg announced today. Eisenberg also announced that the Monarchs have hired Jason LaBossiere as Merchandise Manager, Greg Giorgio as Ticket Operations Manager and David Steffen as Video Coordinator.

"Joe and Jon have been with the team since the beginning, " said Eisenberg. "Both are anchor staff members focused on providing the best in affordable family entertainment and guest service to our fans. With the additions of Jason, Greg and David, our experienced and talented staff is ready for what will be another fun and exciting season of Monarchs hockey at the Verizon Wireless Arena."

Domingos, 34, heads sponsorship sales and marketing partner relations for the Monarchs and is entering his third season with the team. The native of West Hartford, Connecticut is also involved in the development of the Monarchs promotional schedule and radio and television broadcast contracts. Domingos graduated from Central Connecticut State University in 1992. After working for a Hartford-based insurance firm for three years, he served as Ticket Sales and Customer Service Manager for the Orlando Solar Bears of the International Hockey League. Following his stint in Orlando, Domingos worked as Corporate Ticket Sales Supervisor for the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League, and then served as General Manager and Alternate Governor of the Monroe Moccasins of the Western Professional Hockey League.

Crabbe, 28, oversees the Monarchs group, season, and individual ticket campaigns and is responsible for team advertising, game presentation and promotions. He is also entering his third season with the team. The native of Buffalo, New York graduated from Baldwin Wallace College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Administration in 1997. After graduation he returned to his hometown to work for the Buffalo Blizzard of the National Professional Soccer League as Director of Ticket Sales. After two seasons in Buffalo, he took on a similar role with the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League. Crabbe spent two seasons in Portland before joining the Monarchs.

LaBossiere, 26, manages all Monarchs merchandise sold in the team's Pro Shop (located inside the Verizon Wireless Arena) and on-line at www.monarchshockey.com. He comes to the Monarchs after serving three years as Assistant Director of Printing/Postal Services at Southern New Hampshire University. LaBossiere graduated from SNHU with a Masters of Business Administration degree in September of 2002 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from New Hampshire College in May of 2000. The native of Peterborough, New Hampshire also previously served five seasons as Game Day Producer for the Lowell Lock Monsters of the AHL.

Giorgio, 28, serves as the liaison between the Verizon Wireless Arena Box Office and the Monarchs, handling all season and group ticket operations. The native of Londonderry, New Hampshire graduated in May of 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management from Southern New Hampshire University. Giorgio interned with the Portland Sea Dogs (AA Baseball) as an Assistant to the Director of Ticketing and Public Relations during the 2001 season. He joined the Monarchs midway through the 2002-03 season on a part-time basis. Giorgio's position was recently moved to full-time.

Steffen, 23, is entering his third season with the Monarchs. He started with the team as an intern during the 2001-02 season after completing his service in the United States Marine Corps, and last year he worked for the team as a part-time Video Coordinator. Steffen's position was recently moved to full-time. Steffen is attending Hesser College and working toward his Bachelor's degree in Video Production. As Video Coordinator for the Monarchs, the Manchester, New Hampshire native is responsible for all video production for the team, including all visuals shown on the four-sided video scoreboard during Monarchs home games.

The Monarchs open their third AHL season at home against the Worcester IceCats on Friday, October 10 at 7:35 p.m. The Monarchs will also host the Lowell Lock Monsters on Saturday, October 11 at 7:35 p.m. and the Portland Pirates on Wednesday, October 15 at 7:05 p.m. Currently, the only way to secure a seat for the 2003-04 Home Opener against the IceCats is to purchase a Monarchs full, half or ten-game season ticket package.
