
Monarchs, Holland Agree To Terms

MANCHESTER, NH â The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, and defenseman Jason Holland have agreed to terms on an American Hockey League contract, Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced on Sunday. Holland, 28, appeared in 13 games with HC Alleghe of the Italian Hockey League before agreeing to terms with the Monarchs. The 6-foot-3, 219-pound native of Morinville, Alberta, had three goals, seven points (3-4=7) and six penalty minutes in the 13 games.
Holland, originally selected by the New York Islanders in the second-round (38th overall) in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft, had three goals, six points (3-3=6) and 24 penalty minutes in 52 games with the Kings during the 2003-04 season.
Holland, who has 13 goals, 58 points (13-45=58) and 92 penalty minutes in 132 career games with the Monarchs, is expected to arrive in Manchester on Wednesday, December 15, and then join the Monarchs for a road game at the Philadelphia Phantoms on Friday, December 17.
