
Mitchell Smith Earns Forward of the Week Honors

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The USHL League Office announced that Dubuque Fighting Saints forward Mitchell Smith was named the CCM/USHL Forward of the Week. Smith was recognized following his hat trick in Friday's 6-3 victory over the Madison Capitols.
Smith scored his fifth, sixth and seventh goals of the season in Friday's game, and in the process, took the team lead in scoring with 12 points in 14 games. Mitchell's brother Evan earned the same honor on October 16 for his hat trick against the Fargo Force.
Up next for the Fighting Saints is a trip to Muskegon to take on the Lumberjacks for a back-to-back on Friday and Saturday night at 6:15 p.m. CST. Follow all of the action on the radio home of the Saints, Dubuque's Super Hits 106.1 FM, or with the USHL's streaming video provider, FASTHockey.
The Saints will return home on Saturday, November 28 to take on the Chicago Steel at a special time, 6:05 p.m., as they host the Celebration of No-Shave November, sponsored by UnityPoint Health Finley Hospital. Special one-of-a-kind jerseys will be auctioned off after the game with all proceeds benefitting the Finley Health Foundation and the Wendt Regional Cancer Center.
