MONTGOMERY, ALA. (July 15, 2009) - The first place Diamond Jaxx (14-7) commit five errors, tying a season high and fall to the Montgomery Biscuits (10-11) on Wednesday night, 9 to 3. Desmond Jennings reached base five times for the Biscuits going 2-for-2 with a homer, three RBI and three walks in the game. All three Jaxx runs came via the homerun ball. Johan Limonta pushes his hitting streak to eight games blasting two solo homers in the game. Mike Wilson added a solo shot as well, going back-to-back with Limonta in the ninth. The Jaxx lead in the North Division is 3 ½ games over second place Chattanooga, after game one, following the All-Star break.

The Biscuits struck first scoring a run in the bottom of the first on a sacrifice fly by Matt Fields, scoring Rashad Eldridge. The Biscuits got two hits and a walk against Jaxx starter, Kyle Parker (5-5) in the first inning.

The Biscuits add two more against Parker in the bottom of the second inning. Rashad Eldridge drove in two runs this time with a single giving the Biscuits a 3-0 lead. The hit by Eldridge scored Nevin Ashley and Jason Bowers. Parker walked two in the inning and Matt Mangini committed an error.

Jaxx starter, Kyle Parker ended his string of three consecutive seven inning outings lasting just four. Parker surrendered four runs (two earned) on four hits while tying a season high with six walks.

The scoring continued for the Biscuits as they plated two more in the bottom of the fifth. Then in the bottom of the sixth, Desmond Jennings struck again, blasting an 0-2 pitch from Danny Christensen for a 2-run homer putting the Biscuits up 7-0. Later in the inning Fernando Cortez drove in a run giving Montgomery a commanding 8-0 lead.

The Jaxx finally dented the scoreboard in the seventh, on a solo homer by Johan Limonta. That was the only dent in the armor of Biscuits starter, Brian Baker (5-1). Baker wins his fifth game of the season dealing seven innings and just allowing the one run on two hits. He struck out six and walked just one.

With the Biscuits leading 9-1, the Jaxx went down with a bang blasting back-to-back homeruns. With two outs, Mike Wilson blasted his fifth homer of the season and Johan Limonta followed with his second jack of the game and fifth of the season as well. The multi-homer game was the first for Limonta. The two homers cut the lead to the eventual final of 9 to 3.

The Jaxx turn to RHP Luis Munoz (3-4, 4.48) on Thursday night at Riverwalk Stadium. Opposing Munoz will be 24 year old RHP Heath Rollins (8-7, 3.55) for the Montgomery Biscuits. The Jaxx still lead the season series over Montgomery 6-5 and taking four of six at Riverwalk Stadium.
