Minnesota Wild Recalls Iowa Wild Forward Carson McMillan

Des Moines, IA - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Tuesday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled forward Carson McMillan from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

McMillan, 25 (9/10/88), has registered five points (2-35), a plus-2 rating and 11 penalty minutes (PIM) in 15 career contests with Minnesota. The 6-foot-1, 196-pound native of Brandon, Man., tallied 18 points (9-918), 31 PIM and a plus-4 rating in 64 games with Houston last season. He led Houston and ranked tied for tied for third in the AHL with three shorthanded goals. McMillan skated in 11 NHL games with Minnesota in 2011-12 and notched three points (1-23). He scored his first-career NHL goal in his NHL debut at Detroit on April 3, 2011 (Jimmy Howard). McMillan was originally selected by the Wild in the seventh-round (No. 200 overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
