Canucks Assign Polasek to Kalamazoo

Utica Comets Director of Hockey Operations, Pat Conacher, announced today that the Vancouver Canucks have assigned defenseman Adam Polasek to the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL.

Polasek, 22, split the 2012-13 season between the American Hockey League and the ECHL. The 6-3, 207-pound defenseman netted eight points (1-7-8), and registered 27 penalty minutes in 24 games with the AHL's Chicago Wolves. He accounted for another eight points (4-4-8) with the ECHL's Kalamazoo Wings.

The native of Ostrava, Czech Republic was originally selected by the Vancouver Canucks in the fifth round (#145 overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
