Minnesota United Announces International Call Ups

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Minnesota United announced today five Loons have been called up to their respective national teams for the June international window. All Loons called in will leave following Minnesota United's game in Montreal on Saturday, June 10.

Goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair joins the Canada National Team for the upcoming 2022-23 Concacaf Nations League semifinal match against Panama on June 15 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. Canada defeated Curaçao and Honduras to advance to the semifinal. St. Clair was featured on the bench for both matches.

Defender Michael Boxall will head to Europe with the New Zealand National Team for two international friendlies against Sweden in Stockholm and Qatar in Vienna, Austria. Boxall has the third most caps with 42 on this upcoming 23-man roster.

Midfielder Joseph Rosales is set to join the Honduras National Team for two international friendlies in the United States as final preparation for the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup slated to start later this month. Los Catrachos face Venezuela at D.C. United's Audi Field and Barbados at BREC Olympia Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Forward Bongokuhle Hlongwane rejoins the South Africa National Team for a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualification match against Morocco at FNB Stadium. South Africa is second in the Group K standings with a 1-1-1 (W-L-D) record.

Defender Zarek Valentin will join Puerto Rico for the 2023 Gold Cup Prelims at DRV PNK Stadium. The Puerto Rico National Team faces Suriname in the Round One match. Twelve teams are competing in the single-match elimination play with six teams advancing to Round Two and the final three teams completing the remaining groups that will participate in the Gold Cup.
