June 9, 2023 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Inter Miami CF News Release
Inter Miami CF announced today that it has loaned attacker Jake LaCava to USL Championship side the Tampa Bay Rowdies for the remainder of the 2023 season.
LaCava was acquired by Inter Miami via a trade with St. Louis CITY SC in November 2022. The 22-year-old attacker went on to make six appearances, all of them starts, for the Club's MLS NEXT Pro affiliate team Inter Miami II, registering a goal in the process.
This will be LaCava's second stint with the Rowdies after spending the season on loan with the team in 2022. He helped guide the Florida side to a strong season, finishing third in their conference and reaching the semifinals of the playoffs. He starred for the team along the way, finishing the campaign with 12 goals - second on the team - and five assists - tied for fourth on the team. Overall, he made 37 appearances for the team, tied for the most of any Rowdies player, and started 30 of them.
