
Minnesota Lynx Sign Guard Kenisha Bell and Forward Asia Taylor

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Lynx today announced the team has signed guard Kenisha Bell and forward Asia Taylor. Per team policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.
Bell, who was originally selected by the Lynx in the third round (30th overall) of the 2019 WNBA Draft appeared in two preseason games for Minnesota.
The former Golden Gopher finished her senior season at the University of Minnesota ranked fifth in team history in scoring average (18.1), seventh in assists (371), eight in free throw percentage (75.1%) and ninth in free throw attempts (438). The Minneapolis native earned an Honorable Mention All-American (AP) nod after tying her own school record for free throws made in a season with 255, which is also tied for eighth most in a season in Big Ten history.
The 28-year-old Taylor was originally selected by the Lynx in the third round (36th overall) of the 2014 WNBA Draft. She played in 22 games for the Lynx in the 2014 season and averaged 2.7 points on 52.5% shooting and 1.4 rebounds in 7.9 minutes per game. For her career, the Columbus, Ohio native has appeared in 64 games while averaging 2.2 points on 40.4% from the field and 1.6 rebounds in 7.3 minutes per contest with the Lynx, Washington Mystics and Indiana Fever.
The former University of Louisville standout started every game for the Cardinals in the 2013-14 season and finished second on the team in scoring by averaging 10.8 points per game. Taylor was named the 2014 American Athletic Conference Most Improved Player after leading Louisville in rebounding with 7.2 rebounds per game and registering eight double-doubles.
