LYNX VS. STORM - TUESDAY, JULY 22 - 12 PM - TARGET CENTER - FSN - BOB FM106

The Lynx will play four games in six days this week, beginning with a home matinee Tuesday vs. Seattle. The Storm bested the Lynx 96-71 in the teams' lone meeting this season back on July 5. The home team has won five consecutive meetings between these two teams. Tuesday's game marks the seventh annual Kid's Day at the Target Center. The Lynx have compiled a 4-2 record overall in their weekday matinee games, highlighted by the 71-61 triumph over Detroit three summers ago. Minnesota has drawn an average of 13,369 in its home matinees, topped by the club-record crowd of 16,277 vs. Connecticut in 2004. Lower-level tickets for the game have sold out for the fourth time in five years. Upper level tickets still remain. The first 5,000 fans exiting the arena after the game will receive a mini basketball presented by the Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys. July 22 is also Lynx mascot Prowl's birthday. All fans in attendance are welcomed to wish Prowl a happy birthday. Seattle sits at 15-8, good for first in the WNBA's Western Conference. The Storm will be without 2007 WNBA MVP Lauren Jackson due to her leaving early to train for the Olympics. Tuesday's matinee can be seen on FSN North and heard on the radio home of the Lynx, BOB FM 106. Lynx announcer Alan Horton will call the action. The Lynx will continue their busy stretch Thursday in Indiana.

Seimone Augustus scored a season-high 30 points, sinking 11 consecutive shots at one point, and Candice Wiggins added 24 as the Lynx grabbed an 87-74 victory over San Antonio on Saturday night at the AT&T Center. The Silver Stars tallied the game's first six points, but Noelle Quinn's layup put Minnesota ahead to stay at 15-14 with 2:32 left in the first quarter. Wiggins capped a 9-0 burst that stretched the lead to 13 late in the second, and the Lynx took a 44-33 advantage into halftime. Minnesota led by 16 on Charde Houston's layup, before a late trey from Becky Hammon got San Antonio to within 62-51 entering the fourth period and a three-point play by Ann Wauters whittled the margin to six, capping a 12-2 surge by the Silver Stars. However, Nicole Ohlde countered with her own three-point play at the 3:15 mark to thwart the comeback bid, and Wiggins scored 13 of Minnesota's final 16 points to deal San

Antonio just its second home setback of the season. Vanessa Hayden contributed 10 points for the Lynx, while Hammon topped the Silver Stars with 24 points and five assists, Wauters chipped in 18 points and Sophia Young finished with 15.
