TONIGHT Indiana Fever vs. Lynx at Target Center (7 p.m.) The Lynx will follow up their first win of the season by hosting the Indiana Fever tonight at Target Center. The Fever suffered its first loss of the 2006 season on Wednesday night, 73-60 in Houston. Minnesota and Indiana split the two-game series last year with each team winning at home. The Lynx snapped a three-game losing streak to the Fever in their last meeting, a 66-45 win on July 19. Minnesota is 4-6 all-time against the Fever. Six of the teams' last ten meetings have been decided by five points or less.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT Lynx rewrite record books in win over Sparks Minnesota 114, Los Angeles, 71 Seimone Augustus scored a season-high 26 points in helping the Lynx to a league record 114 points and a blowout victory over the Los Angeles Sparks ON Wednesday night (May 31). Svetlana Abrosimova chipped in 21 for the Lynx and was joined in double figures by Kristin Mann, 18, Adrian Williams, 13, Amber Jacobs 11, and Nicole Ohlde, 10. These totals marked season highs for each player, and Mann's 18 was the highest output of her two-year career. Tamika Williams posted a game-high 10 rebounds, and Shona Thorburn, a game-high seven assists. Tamara Moore led the Sparks with 18 points and five assists while Lisa Willis added 12 points and five rebounds. Lisa Leslie, the league leader in points and rebounds entering the game, was held to just eight points and four rebounds. The Lynx blew the game wide open in the third quarter by outscoring the Sparks 33-14. Augustus had 12 in the quarter.

RECORDS FALL The league's all-time points record wasn't the only one broken by the Lynx on Wednesday night. Minnesota also tied the league record for most three-point field goals made with 15, matching the mark set by the Washington Mystics against Los Angeles on May 26, 2005. The team's margin of victory of 43 ties the second-largest margin of victory in league history set by the New York Liberty against Washington on Aug. 13, 1998. The night also saw a number of team records fall as the Lynx set new team highs in field goals made (39), assists (29), first half points (51), highest field-goal percentage in a game (.557) and second half points (63).

BENCH MARK Minnesota also received a franchise-record 44 points from their bench Wednesday night vs. Los Angeles thanks to season-highs from Svetlana Abrosimova with 21 points (8-9 from the field, 5-5 from 3-point range), Adrian Williams with 13 and rookie guard Megan Duffy with 8. Tynesha Lewis added two points to bring the total to 44. The previous record of 37 came last season (July 26) at San Antonio.
