
Phoenix Mercury to offer free admission to 10-year-olds at 10th Anniversary Celebration Game

The Phoenix Mercury will celebrate its 10th Anniversary on Tuesday, June 6. The Mercury will take on the defending WNBA Champion Sacramento Monarchs at 7:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2.
To celebrate a decade of women's professional basketball in Phoenix, every 10-year-old (birthday between 6/7/95 and 6/6/96) will receive a FREE ticket to the game by showing any form of identification at the US Airways Center box office. In addition, all other Mercury fans will receive 1997 ticket prices.
Halftime of the special anniversary game will feature a tribute to Mercury legends Cheryl Miller, Michele Timms, Bridget Pettis and Jennifer Gillom. All were original members of the 1997 Mercury squad and helped lead the franchise to its only appearance in the WNBA Finals in 1998. A select number of fans will receive replicas posters of the banner that will be unveiled in US Airways Center.
WHEN: Tuesday, June 6
TIME: Tip-off is 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
WHERE: U.S. Airways Center
THE TEAM: The Mercury is paced by WNBA All-Star Diana Taurasi who is averaging 21 points per outing. Also averaging in double figures for the Mercury is rookie guard Cappie Pondexter, who is averaging 14.5 points a game.
BEST DEAL: Ten-year-old fans receive FREE admission. All other fans can take advantage of 1997 ticket prices by mentioning "retro" pricing at the box office or by logging on to phoenixmercury.com and entering "RETRO" as the promotions code. Savings total up to $10 per ticket in some price ranges.
