Ontario Clippers News Release

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Ontario Clippers (2-4) fall to the Stockton Kings (5-1), 125-114, on Wednesday afternoon at Crypto.com Arena.

The Clippers were led by Jordan Miller's game-high 36 points on an efficient 11-of-15 shooting from the field, including 4-of-6 from deep. Miller added 5 rebounds and 4 assists on the afternoon. Kobe Brown flirted with a triple-double, recording 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists in the contest. Mason Plumlee, on assignment from the LA Clippers, contributed 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists in the loss.

Four Stockton players scored over 20 points, led by Jaylen Nowell (9-20 FG, 4-10 3P) and Jeremy Lamb (9-17 FG, 4-9 3P) who put up 26 points apiece. Mason Jones followed closely with 24 points and 8 assists. Skal Labissiere rounds out the group with 20 points and 6 rebounds in the victory.

Ontario was hot all afternoon, making 55.6 percent of their field goals (40-of-72) and 46.4 percent from deep (13-of-28). However, their 16 turnovers, compared to the Kings' 8, led to a 27-9 points off turnover differential and proved too costly. Stockton also shot well, making 50 percent of their shots (42-of-84) on the afternoon, and led by as much as 32 in the third quarter. The Clippers attempted a comeback and trimmed the lead to 11, but the deficit was too much to overcome in the end.
