Austin Spurs News Release
AUSTIN - The Austin Spurs today announced the team will play a regular season game at Moody Center on Saturday, March 16. The Spurs will host the Capital City Go-Go, the G League Affiliate of the Washington Wizards, at 4 p.m. This game will take place the day between two San Antonio Spurs games occurring that weekend in the annual I-35 Series.
"We're excited to host three consecutive nights of Spurs basketball at Moody Center," said Tim Salier, SS&E Senior VP of Business Development & Austin Spurs President of Business Operations. "For more than a decade, the Austin Spurs have been an important part of the success the San Antonio Spurs have enjoyed. To have the Austin Spurs participate in Spurs Week is a natural connection as we celebrate our fan base across the Austin community."
Players will wear ATX Night Edition uniforms designed by local Austin artist Will Bryant that are inspired by the city's culture. The themed jerseys will be auctioned off after the game, on DASH with bidding starting on March 16 at 12 p.m., running through March 22 at 7 p.m. with proceeds benefiting SAGE Studio. SAGE Studio is an Austin non-profit that fosters a creative space to provide artists with disabilities the materials, space, and support to produce, exhibit, and sell their artwork.
This game will be one of four games the Austin Spurs will host outside of their home court at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park during the 2023-24 season. For the second consecutive season, Austin will travel to Laredo and play two games on Feb. 2 and 3 against the Stockton Kings at the Sames Auto Arena. In addition, for the first time in franchise history, the Spurs will play a home game in Corpus Christi, hosting the Windy City Bulls at the American Bank Center on March 10.
