College Park Drops 118-114 Contest to Delaware Blue Coats

College Park, Georgia. - The College Park Skyhawks (4-2) dropped their first contest of the calendar year 118-114 to the Delaware Blue Coats (4-2) at Gateway Center Arena.

College Park forward Chris Silva notched the second 30-point, 20-rebound game in College Park history (Justin Tillman, 31 points, 23 rebounds, Jan. 14, 2002), pouring in 30 points on 11-18 from the field (.611 FG%), in addition to a career-high 20 rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in 32 minutes.

Silva joins Oscar Tshiebwe and Sandro Mamukelashvili as the only players with a 30-point, 20-rebound game in the G League this season.

Jarkel Joiner posted his career-high for the second straight game, netting 22 points on 9-18 from the field (.500 FG%), two rebounds and two assists in 39 minutes. Over his last two games, Joiner is averaging 18.5 points on 13-26 shooting (.500 FG%) and 4.5 assists.

In his first game with College Park, Robert Baker collected a near double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.

Outside of an eight-point lead by the Blue Coats in the first quarter, neither team led by more than six points throughout the contest, which featured eight ties and six lead changes.

The Blue Coats were led by three 20-point scorers in Ricky Council IV (29), Kenneth Lofton (27) and Terquavion Smith (25). Council IV and Lofton also led Delaware with eight rebounds each.

The Skyhawks enter a six-game road trip, stretching from Jan. 13th to Jan. 25th, before they return to College Park on Jan. 27th against the Ontario Clippers at 6:30 p.m. for Esports Night. Fans can visit cpskyhawks.com to secure their seats now.
