Mill Rats Comeback Stops Storm

(Summerside, PE) Down by as many as 25 points in the third quarter, the Saint John Mill Rats came alive in the second half en route to a 100-89 comeback win over the Summerside STORM Thursday night at Harbour Station.

Led by the 28 points of Kenny Jones, the Mill Rats scored 74 points in the second half to erase a 24 point halftime STORM lead. Meanwhile, Brandon Robinson was top gun for the STORM with 23 points while Greg Plummer added 17.

The STORM continue to lead the Atlantic Division of the NBL with a 19-13 record, second overall, while Saint John moved into sole possession of 2nd in the Atlantic, and 4th place league wide, with a record of 17-16.

The STORM continue on the road this weekend when they travel to London for a date against the Lightning this coming Saturday night. The STORM is home next on Tuesday March 5th, the start of 5 home games to end their regular season.

STORM Play-Off Ticket Packages continue to be on sale to all STORM Fans. STORM Season Ticket Holders have until March 1st, 2013 to purchase their playoff tickets and reserve the seats they currently have. After March 1st all seats will go on sale to the general public.

STORM Play-Off Packages will be sold through the Box Office at Credit Union Place in Summerside and may be purchased for a full playoff package of 6 games or round by round packages of 3 games each.

STORM Fans who purchased tickets for games that are not played may put that toward season tickets for next season or receive a refund.

The playoff format features the winners of the Atlantic and Central Divisions getting a bye into the semi-finals of the playoffs. Teams who finished in 4th and 5th place overall in the standings will play a best of 3 series with the winner going to the semi-finals. Both the semi-finals and the finals will be a best of 5 series with the team having the best regular season record having home court advantage in the series.
