Moncton Miracles News Release

(Oshawa, ON) The Moncton Miracles, presented by Rogers, defeated the Oshawa Power with a final score of 113-102. The Miracles now sit with a 17-20 record.

The Miracles started this game showing that they are hungry to clench that last playoff berth with an early 16-2 lead. With the Power struggling early on from behind the arc shooting 0-8 gave the Miracles room to end the first twelve minutes of play with a 25-10 lead.

The second quarter would continue with the Miracles taking it to the Power and not letting up an inch of the lead they had built. Moncton would break the 20-point spread barrier late in the quarter to give them a solid advantage going in to the second half of the game. Miracles Isaac Butts led his team to a 46-29 lead at the half with his 10-point contribution.

Moncton would come out with their usual third quarter dominance and outscore Oshawa 41-27. With the Miracles offense being so effective they would easily increase the spread to 30 plus points and finish the next twelve minutes up 87-56.

The Power would do their best to make a late comeback in the fourth. Oshawa would go on a 13-0 run to bring the score to 92-78 with 6:40 left to play in the game. They would continue to apply the pressure and outscore the Miracles 46-26 but it would not be enough to pull them out of the hole they had dug themselves in.
