On December 29th, 2015, the Moncton Miracles played their second home game of the season against the Halifax Hurricanes.
The Miracles started the game on fire, leading the Hurricanes 31-17 at the end of the first quarter. Tom Granado led the way with 8 first quarter points.
In the second quarter the tide turned as the Hurricanes out scored the Miracles 33-15, giving them a 50-46 lead going into halftime. The Miracles had a hard time keeping Mike Glover, and Justin Johnson quiet as they had 12, and 13 points at half.
The third quarter was the Tydran Beaty show; as Beaty was responsible for draining multiple threes and putting back big dunks. The game would stay close for the entire quarter. Anthony Gurley hit a last second shot to put the Miracles up by three going into the final quarter.
After a strong start by the Miracles, the Hurricanes would take charge in the fourth quarter. Mike Glover poured in 25 points, and Justin Johnson added 21 proving to be too much for Moncton. The Miracles ended up losing to the Hurricanes 108-101 in a very close game.
The Leading Scorers for the Miracles were Tydran Beaty with 21 points, and Tyrrel Tate who chipped in with 19. The Leading scorers for the Hurricanes were Mike Glover and Justin Johnson, who had 25 and 21 points for the win.
The Miracles will play their next home game on Sunday, January 3rd against the Island Storm; tip off is at 2pm.
