Mill Rats Sign 6'11" Shot Blocker
December 29, 2015 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada)
Saint John Riptide News Release
The Saint John Mill Rats are pleased to announce the signing of 6'11 shot blocker Anthony Stover.
Stover is the 4th player who played for Coach Spon last season with the Rochester Razorsharks, the others being Corey Allmond, Gabe Freeman, and Darren Moore. He averaged 4.8 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.6 blocks per game last season.
"Anthony is a natural instinctive shot blocker," said Mill Rats Head Coach Rob Spon. "The one piece we were missing was a rim protector, and now we have that in Stover."
Stover played his college ball at legendary UCLA. His professional career has included stops in the NBA Development League, Japan, the IBL, and the PBL.
The Mill Rats host the Moncton Miracles on Wednesday night at 7PM at Harbour Station, and then the Island Storm on Saturday also at 7PM.
Single game, flex, and prorated season tickets are on sale at the Harbour Station Box Office or by calling 506-657-1234 or by visiting www.harbourstation.ca.
