
Milkmen Struggles Continue in Second Consecutive Loss to RailCats

Franklin, Wis. - The Milwaukee Milkmen were swept for the second time this season, the first being in Fargo against the Redhawks, this time coming at home to the Gary Southshore Railcats.
Milwaukee scored four runs today after having scored only four total runs in their first two games of the series against the Railcats. Chad Sedio scored the Milkmen's first run in the top of the fourth inning with a solo home run.
Milwaukee then scored their last three runs in the sixth inning. Bryan Torres began the run by scoring off of a single from Correlle Prime. Mason Davis then stole home while Prime stole second. Finally Prime scored after a Dylan Kelly single that also ended the inning when Kelly was caught stretching at second.
The Milkmen's defense continued to struggle heavily. Milwaukee's defense had two errors this afternoon and have six total errors in the last two games. Starting pitcher A.J. Jones gave up five total runs in his five innings of work, four of which were earned. Relief pitchers Christian Young and A.J. Schugel gave up three added runs.
The Milkmen offense only produced two hits in the final three innings, and Milwaukee fell to Gary Southshore 8-4.
Milwaukee will now have a day off before having a six game road trip, playing three games at the Lake Country Dockhounds in Oconomowoc, then another series in Chicago against the Dogs. They will then return to Franklin Field for a series against the Lincoln Saltdogs that begins on the 4th of July at 6:00 p.m.
