
Culbreth Earns Pitcher of the Week Honors

Sioux Falls, SD - The American Association announced Monday that Canaries left-hander Ty Culbreth has been recognized as the league's Pitcher of the Week for the week ending June 26th.
The Bryan, Texas, native is in the midst of his third professional season in Sioux Falls and leads the team with four wins while holding a 4.71 ERA. Culbreth was brilliant in his lone outing this week, tossing eight shutout innings as part of a 1-0 victory over the Lincoln Saltdogs. The southpaw faced 27 batters, allowing just three hits while striking out five and did not issue a walk.
Culbreth is the first Canaries pitcher to earn Pitcher of the Week honors since Tyler Herron on August 16, 2020. Culbreth and the Birds are set to open a six-game roadtrip Tuesday night in Sioux City.
