Lowell Spinners News Release
LOWELL, MASS. - The Lowell Spinners, Class-A Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, are thrilled to roll out the black and yellow carpet and welcome Stanley Cup Champion Milan Lucic to LeLacheur Park for the team's annual tribute to the Boston Bruins on "Bruins Night," presented by Electrical Wholesalers, Friday, August 19 at LeLacheur Park.
Lucic, who will return to LeLacheur just five days later as the facility hosts his second annual "Rock and Jock" Softball Classic, will take part in a ceremonial pitch, participate in onfield contests and sign autographs for fans who purchase tickets to his softball game as the winger takes a turn in the Spinners' Ticket Depot selling tickets to his own event!
"We are thrilled to welcome Milan back to LeLacheur Park," said Spinners President and General Manager Tim Bawmann. "A great deal of Spinners fans celebrated as the Bruins raised the Stanley Cup and we hope they will continue their celebration with Milan at LeLacheur Park Friday evening."
Lucic hosted his first softball game at LeLacheur Park last August with the Spinners. The game, which benefits NMTW Community Credit Union's community partners through Celebrities for Charity Foundation, includes a number of local media personalities, celebrities, athletes and Lucic's Bruins teammates.
"The partnership with Milan is an exciting relationship for the organization as a whole," said Bawmann. "Last year was the first year of the event and the Bruins win the Stanley Cup. Let's hope year two ends with the same celebration!"
Tickets for both Bruins night and the Milan Lucic Rock and Jock Celebrity Softball Game are available by phone at (978) 459-1702, online at www.lowellspinners.com or in-person at the Spinners Box Office, Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
