The Cincinnati Mighty Ducks fell to the .500 mark for the first time since December 23 with a 3-2 setback versus the Hershey Bears March 31. The loss was the second straight for the Ducks and extended their winless streak to four games (0-3-1-0). ... The Ducks sit in the 10th and final playoff position in the Western Conference standings, four points behind both ninth-place Philadelphia and eighth-place Rochester with three games left to play. ... Cincinnati has not surrendered an opposition power-play goal in its last seven games, killing off 33 consecutive shorthanded situations in that stretch. In the last 14 games the club has killed 55 of their opponents 58 man-advantage chances (94.8 percent). ... RW Steve Brule snapped a season-high, seven-game point streak (3-7-10) March 30 against Hershey. ... Brule remains three goals shy of 200 in his seven-year professional career. ... G Ilja Bryzgalov needs one victory to match the franchise record for most wins in a season by a goaltender with 21 (Tom Askey - 1998-99). ... The Ducks open a three-game series with Cleveland Wednesday at Gund Arena. They host the Barons Friday and Saturday at the Cincinnati Gardens to end the 80-game regular season.
