Chicago Wolves News Release

The Chicago Wolves will host their annual Fan Appreciation Weekend as they welcome the Grand Rapids Griffins on Sat., April 6, at 7 p.m., and the Houston Aeros on Sun., April 7, at 6 p.m.

The Wolves have a variety of promotions planned for the weekend¹s games. The first 10,000 fans through the doors for each game will receive a scratch-and-win card, which will guarantee each fan a prize.

The weekend will be highlighted by a 1986 Wolves Classic Porsche giveaway on April 6. Five fans, chosen through a drawing, will be given a car key. Only one key will start the Porsche, and that lucky fan will be the winner of the car, sponsored by 105.9 WCKG.

In conjunction with Chicago¹s Department of Animal Care and Control (ACC), the Wolves will also host the city¹s Adopt-A-Pet program for the final time during the regular season in the West Lobby on Saturday.

The Wolves, who have hosted the Adopt-A-Pet program six times this season, have successfully helped to find homes for nearly 80 dogs brought to the games. The organization hopes to find homes for at least 100 dogs by the end of the season, and plan to help even more four-legged friends next season.

Following the game on April 7, the Wolves players will give fans the ³shirts off their backs.² The Wolves¹ alternate jerseys, worn during various games throughout the season, have been raffled and auctioned throughout the season and jerseys to be auctioned during the game on Sunday include Wolves captain Steve Maltais. After the game, the winners will join the players on the ice to receive the jerseys.
