
Brule Named Mighty Ducks Player of the Month

CINCINNATI, Ohio - Cincinnati Mighty Ducks right wing Steve Brule has been named the Fifth Third Bank Mighty Ducks Player of the Month for March. Brule had a club-high 13 points (five goals, eight assists) in 18 games, highlighted by a season-high, seven-game point streak March 16-29, recording three goals and seven assists for 10 points in that stretch.
The 27-year-old Brule has posted a club-leading 62 points (21 goals, 41 assists) in 75 games with Cincinnati this season.
The 6-0, 200-pound native of Montreal, Quebec was New Jersey's sixth choice (143rd overall) in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. Brule spent the 2000-2001 season with Manitoba in the now-defunct International Hockey League, leading his team with 69 points (21-48-69) in 78 games.
In recognition of his achievement, Brule will receive a plaque from Fifth Third Bank, to be presented to him during an on-ice ceremony prior to an upcoming Mighty Ducks home game.
