May 13, 2014 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Club de Foot Montreal News Release
MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact announced on Tuesday that midfielder Blake Smith has been loaned out to Indy Eleven, which plays in the North American Soccer League (NASL).
"As we did with Zakaria Messoudi, it will be a good opportunity for Blake to get more playing time," said Impact head coach Frank Klopas. "This loan will help him in his development."
Smith, 23, was drafted by the Impact in the first round (8th overall) in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft. In the 2014 MLS season, he played three games and 43 minutes.
