Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL's Minnesota Wild and Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Iowa Wild and Toronto Marlies, announced today that F Mickey Lang has been loaned to their AHL affiliate, the Iowa Wild.

Lang was acquired by the Solar Bears on December 28 from the Fort Wayne Komets and has since scored five goals and added seven assists for 12 points in eight games with Orlando. His 22 goals currently leads the ECHL. Last year, Lang notched 41 goals and 83 points in 64 games for the Quad City Mallards (CHL), and also played in one game for the AHL's Rockford IceHogs, his lone AHL appearance.

The Solar Bears return from a four game road trip to host the Gwinnett Gladiators on Thursday, January 23rd, at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, January 26, against the Florida Everblades at 3:00 p.m. Orlando will wear special pink jerseys for both games as part of Hockey Fights Cancer, and the first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive a commemorative puck, courtesy of Florida Hospital, on Sunday.
