Bakersfield's Brossoit Named CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Laurent Brossoit of the Bakersfield Condors is the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week for the week of Jan. 13-19. It is the third time this season that Brossoit has won the weekly honor.
The 20-year-old went 3-0-0 with a 2.00 goals-against average and a save percentage of .933 in three appearances last week.
Brossoit made 28 saves in a 7-2 win against Stockton on Tuesday, stopped 25 shots in a 4-2 victory over San Francisco on Friday and had 31 saves in a 3-2 win against Ontario on Sunday.
A native of Surrey, British Columbia, Brossoit is 9-2-1 in 13 appearances with Alaska and Bakersfield this season, and leads the ECHL in goals-against average (1.40), save percentage (.943) and shutouts (5).
Selected by the Calgary Flames in the sixth round (164th overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Brossoit was traded by the Flames to the Edmonton Oilers on Nov. 8, and he has seen action in nine American Hockey League games this season with Abbotsford and Oklahoma City. Prior to turning pro, he appeared in 147 games with Edmonton of the Western Hockey League from 2008-13, posting an overall record of 88-34-9 with 10 shutouts, a 2.59 goals-against average and a save percentage of .909.
