Mets Select the Contract of Bisons RHP Jack Egbert

The New York Mets today announced the team selected the contract of RHP JACK EGBERT from the Buffalo Bisons.
Egbert, 29, went 2-3 with a 2.08ERA (26.0IP 6ER) in 17 games, one start, for the Bisons this season. His lone start came on May 20 at home against Indianapolis, a 4-1 defeat in which Egbert tossed 2.0 innings and allowed three hits and two runs, one earned.
As a reliever, Egbert stranded 12 of 17 inherited runners (71%) while with the Bisons.
