TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees in the second game of a four-game series at Coca-Cola Field (7:05 p.m.). The Bisons defeated the Yankees last night by a score of 6-2. They are 5-4 so far on their modern-era record 16-game stretch at Coca-Cola Field.

NO QUITE HOME: Tonight's game is the second of six contests this year where the Bisons will serve as the road team at Coca-Cola Field against the Yankees. Along with this four-game series, the Herd will be the "road" team August 20-21 in Buffalo. The Bisons will bat first in each of these games. The Yankees are playing their entire 2012 season away from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre as construction of a new ballpark takes place where PNC Field once stood.

vs. YANKEES: The Bisons are 2-2 against the Yankees this season. A win tonight would give the Herd a .500 record with the Yankees since Buffalo's return to the International League in 1998 (113-114).

WE ARE FAMILIA: RHP JEURYS FAMILIA takes the hill for his 10th start of the season. The righty looks to pick up his fifth win of the year after a no-decision against Indy last Saturday. In his last six starts, Familia is 3-0 with a 3.25ERA and 30 strikeouts in 27.2 innings of work. He has allowed a team-low two home runs among Bisons starters.

ALL STAR VOTING: Fan voting for the 2012 Triple-A All-Star Game at Coca-Cola Field began today. There are 14 Buffalo Bisons on the ballot. RHP MATT HARVEY leads the Herd in wins (5) and strikeouts (51). OF VALENTINO PASCUCCI has a team-high 11 home runs to go along with 35 runs batted in. RHP FERNANDO CABRERA is second in the IL with 9 saves on the year.

BISONS BITS: RHP ELVIN RAMIREZ has allowed just three hits in eight scoreless appearances to begin his Triple-A career (10.2IP, 12K)...INF OMAR QUINTANILLA went 3-4 last night with a double and 3RBI. He is second on the team in home runs (6) and runs batted in (26)...INF JOSH SATIN is hitting .346 (9-26) in the last ten games while drawing 11 walks...RHP JACK EGBERT had his contract purchased by the Mets today.

METS UPDATE : The Mets' (24-21) lost to the Padres by a score of 11-5 on Thursday night. INF DAVID WRIGHT went 3-5 with a homer, double, and two runs batted in. Former Bisons RHP JEREMY HEFNER suffered the loss. The Mets continue their series with San Diego tonight (7:10 p.m.) at Citi Field.
