ROCHESTER, NY - Today is Day 25 of Baseball Month in Rochester. The Red Wings on Tuesday wrapped up Frontier Field's 22-day homestand to start the month. There are no games scheduled at the downtown ballpark until Monday, when the Empire State Yankees play host to Toledo (Tigers). Despite the break in action, mascot Spikes continues his pledge to make an appearance during each of the 31 days of Baseball Month in Rochester. Here are today's details:

Spikes has traveled 818 miles thus far during Baseball Month in Rochester.
Beginning Monday, Frontier Field will host six games in four days to close out Baseball Month in Rochester. Following the finale of the Yankees' 4-game series with Toledo at 12:05 p.m. on Thursday, the Double-A and Triple-A Section 5 High School Baseball Championships will take place along Morrie Silver Way.
Also, as a reminder, fans may still submit their entries for the Baseball Month in Rochester essay contest. The deadline to file is Thursday at 5:00 p.m. The topic is "When, where, and how did you fall in love with baseball - The winner, which will be selected from a panel of Red Wings front-office staff and uniformed personnel, will receive a complimentary suite for 16 people to a regular-season game and an on-field batting practice visit that includes a meet-and-greet with Red Wings players and coaches. The winner will also present his/her essay to the Frontier Field crowd prior to the Saturday, June 2 game vs. Columbus.
