
Mets Select Contract of Bisons' INF Mike Hessman

The New York Mets today announced that they have selected the contract of INF MIKE HESSMAN from the Buffalo Bisons. Hessman will join the team in time for their home game against the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday night.
Hessman hit .274 (68-248) with 20 doubles, 18 home runs and 58RBI in 64 games. The slugger missed 33 games from June 10 - July 19 with a right hand injury. At the time of his injury, Hessman was leading all of baseball with 57RBI.
Hessman leaves the Bisons with 329 career minor league home runs, most among active players.
