Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The (tied for) fourth-place IronPigs (44-58) play the finale of a four-game series against the third-place Norfolk Tides (48-55) -- Baltimore's top affiliate. With a 3-2 win last night, the 'Pigs have now two straight games as well as six of season and seven of their last eight contests overall. Lehigh Valley has started 2-1 on this eight-game, South Division homestand... Norfolk has dropped two straight since again tying its season-high, three-game winning streak (sixth time). Even so, the Tides have still won six of their last 10 affairs and are 17-14 since losing Game One of the series against the Pigs on June 21.
First-pitch tonight is at 7:05 p.m. for Andy Tracy Bobblehead Night, presented by Nacci Printing.
Fore!: The Pigs have climbed into a share of fourth place in the North (Pawtucket) for the first time since 5/10.
