
Mets Recall Bisons' OF Chris Carter, OF Wabick Joins Buffalo

The New York Mets announced that they have recalled OF CHRIS CARTER from the Buffalo Bisons. The Bisons announced that OF D.J. WABICK has been promoted to the Herd from the Double-A Binghamton Mets.
Wabick, 25, has hit .222 (14-63) with five doubles, a home run and eight RBI in 19 games with the B-Mets this season. Last year, the left-hand hitting Wabick averaged .296 (126-426) with 31 doubles, four home runs and 55RBI in 120 games with Binghamton. He was named a 2009 Eastern League All-Star.
Wabick was selected by the Mets in the 25th round in the 2005 draft. He is a .293 hitter in 497 career minor league games.
Carter hit .336 (38-113) with six home runs and 22RBI in 29 games with the Bisons. He ranks third in the International League in extra-base hits (17), total bases (69) and slugging percentage (.611) and eighth in the circuit with a .336 batting average.
