MetroStars Face Utica City
January 10, 2019 - Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) - Mississauga MetroStars News Release
The Mississauga MetroStars hope to close out a four game homestand on a positive note tomorrow night when they play host to the MASL's Eastern Division leaders Utica City FC at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre (kickoff 7:35 pm ET).
The MetroStars (2-5) started the homestand convincingly when they beat the Harrisburg Heat 7-6 back on December 30. After dropping a 6-5 overtime loss to the Baltimore Blast in its next home game, Mississauga then crashed 8-2 to the undefeated Milwaukee Wave just two days later.
? ?Utica City FC (5-2) also dropped their last game at home to the Wave, by a count of 7-4, despite scoring the first goal of the game. It was Utica's first loss at home this season. UCFC Head Coach Ryan Hall was selected MASL Coach of the Month for December after his team posted a 5-1 record during the month. Previously known as the Silver Knights, Utica relocated from Syracuse at the start of this season.
? ?The MetroStars continue to have injury troubles. The latest to be placed on the injury report is leading scorer Dwayne De Rosario who is listed as questionable for tomorrow's game.
? ?The MetroStars face Utica City FC Friday at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre with kickoff set for 7:35pm (ET). The match will be live streamed on MASL.tv at maslsoccer.com.
