San Diego Sockers Match Notes: San Diego and Ontario Tangle in Round 3 Of The I-15 Derby

San Diego Sockers News Release
The third installment of the I-15 SoCal Derby is on Sockers Retro Night. The team will be wearing the iconic 1980s era uniforms. It has only been six days since these foes have met when San Diego won a 3-2 overtime thriller.
The rivalry has reached a new level after the offseason trade which saw GK Chris Toth traded to the Fury. The previous two matches have been tight defensive battles with displays of excellent goalkeeping by Boris Pardo, who leads the MASL with a 3.08 GAA, and Toth, who is just behind at 3.33.
In the last meeting, San Diego's offense did not get on track until late in the fourth quarter. The team had quality chances but needed two late goals to force overtime and eventually win the contest. Defense has reigned in each match, as both teams have not reached their season goals for average.
