
Mercury to host Country Night on Friday, June 16

The Phoenix Mercury square off against the Connecticut Sun on Friday, June 16 and its Country Night hosted by KNIX 102.5 on-air personalities Tim and Willy. Willy will be on-hand prior to the game to sing the National Anthem and the two celebrities DJs will be courtside throughout the contest to participate in on-court activities.
The first 3,000 fans will receive a Diana Taurasi bobblehead.
WHEN: Friday, June 16
TIME: Tip-off is 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m.
WHERE: U.S. Airways Center
THE TEAM: The Mercury is coming off its second consecutive victory - a 93-79 win over the Detroit Shock on Friday night. It's the second time in as many outings that the team has tallied over 90 points. Cappie Pondexter dropped in 27 points in the victory and Diana Taurasi added 22 points and eight assists.
