
Mercury to honor legendary players and coach

PHOENIX - The Phoenix Mercury will honor the original faces of the organization-three players and one coach-in 10th Anniversary festivities at halftime of tonight's game.
The franchise and its fans will pay tribute to Jennifer Gillom, Michele Timms, Bridget Pettis and Cheryl Miller in a halftime ceremony that will include the unveiling of a banner that will hang permanently from the rafters at US Airways Center. Gillom, Timms and Pettis will be in attendance.
Phoenix will look for its first win on the young season tonight as the Mercury host the defending champion Sacramento Monarchs in a nationally televised game on ESPN2. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
