Men O\' War Win First Exhibition Game over Peoria, 4-1

Lexington, KY- The Lexington Men O' War took home the team's first victory in their first game in club history. Lexington beat Peoria 4-1 behind the play of (LW) Jared Smyth and (G) Jeremy Day. Smyth led the team in scoring with a goal and an assist. Day played the second half of the game stopping 22 of 23 Rivermen shots. Adriano Fiacconi, Brett Annetts, and Daryl Moor scored the other goals. Moor's was the team's first ever goal halfway through the first period. Fiacconi notched his first goal to make it 2-0 on a breakaway late in the first period. Annetts scored in the third on a power play, while Smyth added the empty netter.

Both teams face-off again in Rupp Arena tomorrow at 1:00. The game is only open to the media and season ticket holders. There will be a post game party with the players for the season ticket holders.

The Lexington Men O' War present "Opening Weekend" at Rupp Arena on Friday, October 11th and Saturday, October 12th against the Greensboro Generals.
